Western Living - Design West Makeover Challenge [ a bronze prize winner ] (January, 2006)

"...West Vancouver-based interior decorator Joonhae Park maximized an 11-by-12 room by utilizing two table types: one large, curved desk where Park can organize fabrics, paint samples and designs for her business, and a second bar counter that fits her husband's laptop. The bar counter is supported by storage cabinets to keep the space organzied..."

"Park covered a six-foot-wide window with a film that resembles acid-etched glass. In it she's cut out an excerpt from a favourite Robert Frost poem, which has the effect of softening the light and inspiring good work in the space."

Canadian Home & Country - Homefront: People who bring Euro style To Canada (October/November, 2004)

"Inspired by Nordic Style, the mecca for Scandinavian style in London, England, [Joonhae] Park started her own company, White Space Interiors. She imports and refurbishes antique armoires from France and has the exclusive on a line of Gustavian-inspired furniture made in Sweden."

"Swedish design tries to maximize light during long winter months and evoke feelings of spaciousness. I think Canadians can really appreciate that."

Vancouver Sun - At Home Section - Whiten up (Friday, April 25, 2003)

"White is suddenly the white hot colour for furniture this season, and buyers are snapping it up."

"One look shows why the line [at White Space Interiors] is attracting so much interest. The collection includes an assortment of traditionally styled chairs, dining tables, beds and occassional tables. Most pieces are decorated with hand carved details that add style without looking ornate."

"The range of shades proves that white is anything but boring and predictable. Within the category we call white, are dozens of muted, icy and creamy shades - perfect companions for stronger coloured walls and accent fabrics".

Vancouver Sun - At Home Section - Gotta Have It (Friday, February 7, 2003)

"There's more to Swedish furniture than the mass-produced pieces made popular by IKEA. What's not so well known is that Sweden is home to some highly skilled cabinet makers who make beautiful handcrafted pieces worthy of becoming family heirlooms."

"At White Space Interiors in West Vancouver, interior designers are being wooed by an exclusive line of Swedish tables, chairs and beds all painted in creamy whites and many decorated with handcarved motifs."
